Terracotta Facade

Description

Client : CP Kukreja Architects

Location : Delhi , India

The parametric facade in question employs three distinct types of terracotta tiles arranged across varying levels to emulate the draped appearance of fabric. This innovative design creates a dynamic and dramatic effect, akin to the fluidity and movement of cloth. Achieving this effect posed a significant challenge due to the rigid nature of terracotta, requiring meticulous planning and precise execution in tile placement and orientation. The result is a visually striking architectural statement that seamlessly blends artistry with functionality, showcasing the versatility of terracotta in contemporary design.
